On Saturday September 7th, KEEPIT Handsome participated in the 6th annual ‘Bag The Bullies’ event - an annual fundraiser of The Jarrett Payton Foundation- with the goal of raising money to help put and end to bullying in our school...while having lots fun too! As a premier sponsor, KEEPIT Handsomes’ support provided financial assistance to allow Jarrett Payton to continue to share his message of kindness and inclusion with grade-school children at 3-4 different schools every month. In addition, they will continue to donate relevant books about kindness and donate many ‘buddy benches’ as a way to continue the message of supporting their anti-bullying messaging.
Over 350 attendees were present, including 120 teams competing in their infamous ‘Bag The Bullies’ bean-Bag tournament. KEEPIT Handsome entered 2 teams into the tournament consisting of representatives Sharon Nykaza and Don Stewart along with their families. Team ‘Fight Ugly’ advances 4 rounds until losing to the duo that ended up winning it all. Team ‘Handsome As Hell’ didn’t fair quite as well, losing in a double elimination in round 2. But...you can guess- they had a ‘hell of a lot of fun’ and according to Sharon, “even though we ultimately lost, we actually felt like winners because we knew we were part of something that would bring meaningful experiences and support to the children in our community”.
And that’s what the KEEPIT Handsome philosophy is all about.
